Instructor: Larry Jobe With 36 years of riding experience, Larry Jobe, co-owner of A and J Motorcycle Safety School is one of your instructors. Larry is retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after more than 24 years of service. While in the Coast Guard, Larry was stationed at the Aids to Navigation team in Southwest Harbor Maine.
Often times while standing his watch he dreamed of owning his own business and doing something fun. With a love of the coast and a love of motorcycles, A and J Motorcycle Safety School is a dream come true. Larry is married and lives on the Maine Coast with his wife, Roxanne and their dogs, Koko & Lola.
Larry Jobe is a nationally certified Motorcycle instructor, licensed by the state of Maine. Safety certifications include: "A crash course for the Motorcyclist" and "Advance Bystander Assistance", CPR and First Aid. He is a member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (MOA) and United Bikers of Maine. Larry's current ride is a 2005 BMW R1200RT.
Instructor: Terry Atwood
Maine native, Terry Atwood, co-owner and instructor of A and J Motorcycle Safety School brings many years of motorcycle expertise. He is a retired Air Force Officer, who has traveled the world. He currently is a school administrator in his 14th year in education. Terry has been riding motorcycles since the age of 15 and minibikes before that. He has a Masters Degree in Business Organizational Management, further graduate work in Educational Administration and a Bachelors in Behavioral Science. Terry's been a classroom teacher, athletic director, assistant principal and principal, which brings a high level of skill and experience to the course. He has First Aid and CPR training. Terry is married and has two adult children. Terry Atwood is a nationally certified Motorcycle instructor and is licensed by the state of Maine.
Instructor: Trenton Oliphant
Originally from the Hudson Mohawk Valley Region of Upstate New York, Trenton Oliphant currently resides in Central Maine with his wife and two children. He is a nationally certified MSF RiderCoach, Licensed by the State of Maine. He is also trained in First Aid and CPR. Trenton has been riding street motorcycles for over 20 years and loves to teach others how to become good riders. Although his name does not rhyme with "Terry" nor "Larry" he is a welcome addition to the A&J Team!
